Senior pups are welcome and loved here. Dawgs Academy trains our counselors to monitor energy levels, adjust play intensity, and provide quiet rest when needed. We'll always prioritize your dog's comfort and safety.
Why this form? Dogs 7 years and older may have different needs: joint sensitivity, lower stamina, or medical considerations. This disclaimer ensures we're all on the same page about the care plan.
1. Acknowledgment of Risks
The Client understands and agrees that:
- Senior dogs may have age-related health concerns such as reduced mobility, arthritis, or vision/hearing loss that can impact their daycare experience.
- Group play environments involve physical activity that may increase the risk of injury, exhaustion, or stress for senior dogs.
- Despite outstanding care and supervision, there is an inherent risk of health complications or injury for senior dogs participating in daycare activities.
2. Health and Medical Care
The Client confirms that:
- The dog has undergone a recent veterinary examination and is deemed fit for group play.
- Any known health conditions, medications, or mobility limitations will be disclosed to the Facility prior to attendance.
- The Facility's staff are not veterinarians and cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions.
- In case of a medical emergency, the Facility is authorized to seek immediate veterinary care at the Client's expense.
3. Activity Adjustments
The Client understands that:
- Dawgs House staff may adjust the dog's participation in group play to accommodate their health and energy levels.
- The Facility reserves the right to remove the dog from group activities if signs of fatigue, discomfort, or distress are observed.
4. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date health records.
- Notify the Facility of any changes in the dog's health, behavior, or medications.
- Supply any necessary medications with clear instructions.
- Accept that the Facility may modify or refuse participation based on the dog's health or behavior.
5. Liability Waiver
The Client agrees to release and hold harmless Dawgs House, its staff, and affiliates from any claims or liabilities arising from the dog's participation in daycare, including injury, illness, or health complications. The Client further acknowledges that due to the age of the dog, there is an increased risk of sudden health deterioration or death from natural causes, including age-related conditions. The Facility is not liable for any death resulting from such causes.
